History

A Russian dance that I learnt from Hennie Konings.

Rhythm

The music is in an even 4/4 rhythm but there are an odd number of bars in the sequence.

Steps

Start in a line, arms in a V hold, facing right.

Take three slow steps forward, starting with the left.
Take three steps forward in a quick-quick-slow rhythm, starting with the right.
Take four slow steps forward, starting with the left.
Take three steps forward in a quick-quick-slow rhythm, starting with the left.

Take eight quick steps forward, starting with the right
Step to the side with the right, touch close with the left, step to the side with the left, touch close with the right (all quick).
Take eight quick steps forward, starting with the right
Step to the side with the right, touch close with the left, step to the side with the left, close with the right (all quick).
