A Romanian dance. The name means Bride's Dance. I learned this dance from Cindy Kelly in 2010.
The dance is in a slow, even 4/4 rhythm with a step or touch on every beat.
Start in a circle in a teapot hold - put your left hand on your own left hip or tummy and put your right hand on your neighbour's forearm.
Step to the side with the right, leading with the heel and letting the shoulder come in
slightly. Close with the left. Do this twice.
Step to the side with the right, then touch close with the left, pointing the foot to the side.
Repeat with opposite feet.
Do the first part twice.
Step forward with the left, then touch close with the right. Step back with the right,
then touch close with the left.
Take three steps forward, starting with the left, then touch close with the right.
Repeat this going backwards, starting with the right.
Step to the side with the left (leading with the heel), then close with the right.
Do this twice, but on the second time just touch close.
From a workshop CD - sorry, no more details.
The music for the third part plays as an introduction, the dance begins with the wind
instrument melody.
